Where are the Serious GOP Candidates Part 3, 4, or 5

The Newt

I have posted previously about the lack of serious GOP presidential candidates and quite frankly I’ve grown tired of it. I would normally point you to my previous posts on the subject, but it just seems pointless. That’s the reason behind the title of the post. Where are the serious GOP candidates for president, there are none.

Newt Gingrich. Really? That’s the best the GOP can conjure up. Heck, I think if Bill Clinton was running for president he would get more Republican votes than Gingrich.

The GOP is the family values party.

Let’s take a quick count.

Obama one wife, Newt three. Hhhmmmnnn… I understand divorces happen. Sometimes you marry the wrong person. But the way you break up tells a lot about a person. Gingrich served one ex-wife with divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from uterine cancer.

Let’s take a second quick count.

Ethics violations,

The House voted overwhelmingly yesterday to reprimand House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and order him to pay an unprecedented $300,000 penalty, the first time in the House’s 208-year history it has disciplined a speaker for ethical wrongdoing.

Ethics violations. Gingrich one. Obama zero.

Let’s take a third quick count.

Conservative pundits Brooks, Will, Noonan, and Krautmammer have denounced Gingrich as the GOP nominee.

It appears Newt strikes out among his own media elite. That will probably only make him more attractive to the tea party elites who only have one goal. The preservation of their perverted view of America as they see it.

Please, please, please, Republicans … nominate Newt Gingrich as your presidential candidate. I can’t wait to see him stand beside a man in a debate who actually understands the meaning of the word values..

I think Gingrich is already out for the count.
