Perry attacks Obama on “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and Christmas. His comments are ludicrous and reflect more on the fact that he is behind in the polls rather than Obama’s policy.
Here’s what Perry said.
“I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a Christian,” the Texas governor says. “But you don’t need to be in the pew every Sunday to know there’s something wrong in this country when gays can serve openly in the military but our kids can’t openly celebrate Christmas or pray in school.”
He continues, “As president, I’ll end Obama’s war on religion. And I’ll fight against liberal attacks on our religious heritage. Faith made America strong.
Well, Obama is a Christian as well. And you can pray in a school, you just can’t have a public institution sanction a certain religion. It is a violation of our constitution. Is Perry against our constitution? I was in a school a few days ago and I prayed my ass off.
Also, according to sources, there are Christmas trees all over the White House.
As far as gays serving openly in the military, gays have always served openly in the military. They just couldn’t say they were gay. Seriously, one of the worst kept secrets is whether someone is gay. It can happen, but not often. If you have difficulty telling whether someone is gay, you probably don’t know any gay people. It’s been two months since “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” has been repealed and clearly America’s armed forces have fallen apart. Oh, wait a minute, they haven’t.
So Mr. Perry, there’s probably a reason your poll numbers have fallen into the single digits. Your a homophobic non constitution loving idiot. The next time a Texan talks about succeeding from the union, tell them to not let the door hit them in the ass on the way out.
